How much fabric do I need

Typical fabric requirements (guide):

• Dress – 2 to 3 metres
• Skirt – 1.5 to 2 metres
• Shirt / blouse – 1 to 1.5 metres
• Trousers – 2 to 2.5 metres
• Children’s outfit – 1 to 2 metres
• Cushion covers – about 0.5 metre
• Quilting / crafts – 0.5 to 1 metre

Tip: Always allow extra for pattern matching, shrinkage and mistakes.

A lightweight turquoise polyester habotai fabric with a smooth, soft handle and fluid drape. This fabric has a delicate, silky feel, making it useful for linings, costume making, dressmaking details, craft projects and lightweight decorative sewing.

At 45gsm, it is very light and easy to gather, layer and handle. The bright turquoise shade gives a fresh pop of colour, making it ideal for creative projects where you want a soft, flowing finish without using a heavy fabric.

Sold by the half metre. Multiple quantities will be cut as one continuous length where possible.
