How much fabric do I need

Typical fabric requirements (guide):

• Dress – 2 to 3 metres
• Skirt – 1.5 to 2 metres
• Shirt / blouse – 1 to 1.5 metres
• Trousers – 2 to 2.5 metres
• Children’s outfit – 1 to 2 metres
• Cushion covers – about 0.5 metre
• Quilting / crafts – 0.5 to 1 metre

Tip: Always allow extra for pattern matching, shrinkage and mistakes.

Poly Viscose Stretch Fabric – Navy is a mediumweight fabric with a smooth handle and a comfortable touch of stretch. It holds its shape nicely, making it a solid choice for trousers, skirts, blazers, dresses and smart everyday tailoring.
